Verification of the registration category

Participants who indicate that they are RSME members will be subject to verification before payment is enabled.

If current membership cannot be confirmed, the registration will be updated to the applicable B or C category and the participant will be informed before payment is made.

Participants who indicate that they are not RSME members will be assigned directly to category B or C according to their participation in the Congress.

Participants registered under categories B and C will be entitled to one year of RSME membership at no additional cost, in accordance with the procedure established by the Society. To process the corresponding membership registration, the necessary identification details will be requested, including first name, surname, email address, national ID or other identification document, and telephone number. These details will be provided to the RSME for the purpose of processing that membership registration.

2027 RSME annual membership fee

RSME members may optionally request to pay their 2027 annual RSME membership fee together with their Congress registration.

The selected membership-fee category will be checked against the information available to the RSME. If the requested category does not match the category on record, payment will remain pending until the RSME resolves the change, and the corresponding supporting documentation may be requested.

The 2027 RSME membership fee will be accounted for separately from the Congress registration fee, even if the participant makes a single payment.

Gala dinner

The gala dinner is optional and its cost is not included in the registration fee.

Where applicable, the final amount will be calculated as: registration fee + 2027 RSME membership fee, if applicable + gala dinner, if applicable.

Grants

The grant application period will run from 13 to 27 October 2026, both dates included.

Grants are intended for people who are in the final year of an undergraduate degree, enrolled in a university master’s programme or a doctoral programme, who do not hold a doctoral degree, actively participate in the scientific programme of the Congress, and do not have funding to cover their participation.

Applications must include the information and documentation specified in the call, including a curriculum vitae and a letter from a university lecturer or professor supporting the application and stating that the applicant does not have funding to attend the Congress.

An awarded grant will cover:

  • Congress registration;
  • accommodation during the Congress.

The grant will not cover the 2027 RSME annual membership fee, the gala dinner, travel, or other personal expenses.

While a grant application is pending, registration payment will not be enabled.

Posters

The period for submitting poster proposals will run from 13 to 27 October 2026, both dates included.

Proposals must be submitted following the instructions and template published by the Congress. The form will request both the PDF of the abstract and the corresponding .tex source file.

Final recognition as an active participant through a poster will be subject to acceptance by the Scientific Committee.

Payment

Once the necessary checks have been completed, the organisers will send the participant a personal payment link.

Payment will be made through the secure Redsys / Banco Santander payment gateway.

The Congress website will not store card data.

Registration will be considered paid only when the system receives valid confirmation of the payment.

Invoicing

The invoice will be issued in the name of the person or entity specified during registration.

The requested tax details must be completed correctly before payment.

The invoice date will be the effective payment date and the invoice will be sent to the email address used for registration.

The invoice description will be: Registration for the 8th Congress of Young Researchers of the RSME.
